jburroughs, I eventually plan to do the same. Do you mind if I ask... are the insurance premiums significantly different between what you were paying for the C2 vs the turbo?

Well, uh.......the Turbo is the only running one of the bunch. Which is why I bought it--to have a commuter. Happens when you've been into 911s + running two shops along the way for what's now nearly 2/3 of my life.

Congratulation on a beautiful car.
Considering your medical condition prior to its purchase, did you get your doctor to prescribe this as a necessary medical treatment ? And if so, doesn't it make the entire purchase qualified as a medical necessity and thus an eligible income deduction ?

Stayed the same for me, even with 2 teenage daughters on my policy. I went from a 99 Carrera cab to an 01 Carrera coupe to an 01 TT coupe to an 04 TT cab and my insurance hardly changed at all - about $80/month to add to my policy.

Thanks, Lefty and geetee. When I bought my C2, my rates went up maybe a few hundred dollars a year, but I thought a turbo might be more brutal on the insurance rates. I'm pretty sure use magic and other voodoo to determine rates.

My premiums only went up about $20/month. I use usaa and they have some stellar rates, and I'm not sure how other insurance carriers stack up.
