how are the GMG bars different from the Eibach bars? I would bet they are pretty much identical but that is just my opinion

Eibachs are red, GMG/Eibachs are blue. GMG claims their version to be stiffer for what it's worth. If you run an under sprung suspension the stiffer bars would be better. If your spring rates are correctly tailored to your application then there is no need for overly stiff bars. Having the ability to adjust is key and ideally you should not end up having to adjust the bars to either end of their range but rather more towards the middle so you have the room to fine tune for varying tracks and/or conditions.

I've been running the "crappy" Eibach front and rear (my fronts are also 3 way adjustable), no clearance issues. I've had them on the car 5 years now and love them in combination with KW V3's. I've been able to tune it wherever I want, this has varied over the years. I currently have the rear full stiff and the front soft, feels similar in response to my buddies GT3 (which I also love!)

The GMG bars are a large diameter, hollow and stiffer than the Eibach's which are thinner, solid and heavier.

Upon reflection I should have not called them crappy. I now realize they have changed and improved the design from when I looked at them a few years ago. Glad you are happy with yours.

I have my H&Rs set up the same as your Eibachs. Front soft, rear full stiff.

Great information here guys. I'm looking for the best all around quiet street and track option and based on this I think the 996 GT3 bars front and rear with an AWD compatible adjustable front link is a good way to go. I've already got KW V3s and stock alignment settings. Don't want to stray too far into the land of negative camber as this is a street car mostly.

The GT3 front and rear bars are very good Chris. I have them with the front set in the middle (3rd hole out of 5) and the rear 1 hole from full soft (2nd hole out of 4). Setting will vary on your spring rates and driving style.

Using GT3 bars F and R with the KW V3s myelf. Changed the springs (supplied springs were too soft) to 800F/1000R and the car still rides well on the street and for track duty.

Lots of settings on the KWs to get it right.

I'm probably going to have the same experience you did. "Stock" KW springs right now. Could not read the rates on them but I'm sure they have it printed somewhere.

Where do you have yours adjusted for track duty.

Thread relevant content: did you retain AWD and if yes what front drop link did you use?

Still dialing in the compression and rebound rates. But here you go:

Front: rebound 12 clicks from full soft, compression (bump) 11 clicks from full soft.

Rear: rebound 14 clicks from full soft, compression (bump) 8 clicks from full soft.

Still running AWD.

TRG curved front DLs.

Rear GT3 bar full soft, front GT3 bar 2 hole full stiff.

Does anyone know if the rear only eibach sway bar is plug and play on the 996TT?

Is there anything that needs to be modified to install it?

It was plug and play for me, and I upgraded the end links to Tarret units.

Yes plug and play. Why not do both?
