I had the torque solutions. I didnt think it created much vibration but when I removed them in favor of the stock ones for ****s and giggles it was a vast difference. I still have the stock ones in....

I actually went for the Torque Solutions Semi Solids after I won a bid on ebay (new ones) and they have really transformed my car.
Nice visceral feel in the cabin and handling is vastly improved. My car is 04 as well but manual.
The mod is well worth it.

Was there any increase in noise or vibration? Or impact on ride quality?

i have wevo's semi's similar to jims TS. semi solids are pretty much the same rss/wevos/ts etc.

they increase the nvh a bit and the first few rides offer a dramatically more "connected" feel to the car, with the added plus of eliminating any slop on hard cornering/shifting etc. but you'll get used to it, and now i cannot remember stock and the car is stiff and the ride is FIRM as i like it. that and a new 997 trans mount or even the TS inserts should do you good. it's a must do mod, for any half serious driving

Well put Mark, it vastly improves the connection feel with better handling. Yes there is an increase in noise and vibration with a slightly firmer ride, may not be for everyone but definitely much improved for me.

I think solid mounts can cause problems with the anti-knock sensors in the engine.

I installed the RSS semisolids on my car a year ago and I could not be happier with the improved feel of connection to the car.

I put the Wevos in last fall, only got about 500Kms on them before it went away for ....treats. I don't know what to say about the noise, as I was constantly honking on the throttle prior to that. So hard to tell difference between ambient noise and my hooting and honking.
I've had the 997 tranny upgrade installed, and I put a tower brace in as well.
As my baseline for comparison is pretty much tossed now due to all the additions, it will be an interesting week when I get her back in May.
Will chime in if I have anything worthwhile to add.

I have RSS on mine and didn't notice any additional NVH while driving. There's a very slight difference at idle but only you'll notice since you're holding the steering wheel and shifter. They are fantastic mounts IMO.

Running Rennline solid mounts, no real increase in vibrations that I can tell.

I replaced all of my mounts to new 997 stock parts and the car is very tight. It really drives great now, I no longer feel the motor moving around when engaging the clutch pedal or throttling up or down. I wonder if I can improve on this with the FF transmission mount inserts or FF motor mounts. I found that just changing the motor mounts didn't do anything until I changed the the transmission mount. My mounts were still intact but torn through on both sides. That update had the largest change in drivability.

Go the FF gear box mount insert, you won't be sorry. If you dont mind a little extra cabin noise then go black.

I am in the process of getting one of the mounts to my car. I have RSS and TS available to choose, which one would you guys recommend?

Also Should I do the transmission upgrade?

OT question,
I am also inclined to change all the bushings and water pump, any suggestions?

What other basic/essential upgrades?
