There is no question that X73 is stiff, and I'm not sure you'll get much relief from that through tire size selection.
Since I got the tune, they break loose in first gear, and occasionally in 2nd.

The GT2 size tires give a more compliant ride- I much prefer over OE turbo sizes. I haven't noticed any degradation of turn in feel.
