I received a NASA hdpe pass for my bday several years ago from the wife. It was quite overwhelming but the instructors do a good job with the newbies. They focus on safety, lines, flags. The other stuff comes later. Agree with others her learning on a car like a Miata would be a great start. Also avoid R comps for a while- street tires howl/scream/slide but the are communicating what the car is doing.

I've been doing thisnfornanfew years now with the TT and have been modding the car to make it a better track car- but honestly you will have a hoot in just about any car out there... Be careful this is soooo addicting- but always have the wife to blame!

Have your doc prescribe a scopolamine patch. I have to use it while instructing. Except for the smoothest drivers, I readily get motion sickness in the passenger seat. The patch prevents that and doesn't cause me to get drowsy.

I guess what I'm most glad to hear is that I'm not the only one who gets sick and still wants to do some seat time

Thanks to all who confessed their same problem, I definitely feel much better about my driving future because of it.

I agree with everyone else, seat time, however I really learned the most from Professional instructors for a few private sessions then remaining sessions of the day work on what they show you.

Hey Scott -
I'm in the same boat as you - the new car is twice the power of the old car ('89 C4). I found idustrial parks were desserted on Sunday afternoons. They made great places to test the the C4's limits at much lower speeds.

I like the idea of driving without breaking on a track - limits will be found quickly!
