Guys,

I apologize for yet ANOTHER thread on this---but I do have a question about PSS10. As a few of you know, my car goes into the tuner in 2-weeks to have all of the fluids replaced and GT3 shifter installed. I am pondering having them install a PSS10 suspension for me. My big question is this---is this worth $4K for a street car that might see one or two track days a year?

I love to hit the occasional twisty road and hit the turns hard, but I know that it's not as if the suspension on a 911 Turbo "sucks" as some in the aftermarket business attempt to do---not all but some lead us to believe that all of the stock components need to be put in the trash replaced with a full track suspension. I'm exaggerating a bit---but I'm sure you get the point.

I really wanted an X73 suspension...but that is no longer available. Gert confirmed this for me. So the next option up from that is really the PSS10. But on the street---what real benefit (other than lowering the car) would I notice? Would that change be worth $4K?

Would the money be better spent on other things?

From what others have said, it improves both the ride and the handling. Whether that is worth $4,000 to you is a question I'm afraid only you can answer.

It does help :

1) Your pocket will be lighter by 4K $,
2) The resale value of your car will go down,
3) Will be pointless unless you track your car heavily.
I'd suggest if I may,get it out of your system and install it,see for yourself if it's worth it...if you decide to get some of your money back later,just sell it,I'm sure you will get most of your money back,as these are desirable systems.

It is worth it, best suspension for the combo street and the 1-2 day of track a year.

I love the PSS9's on my car but I have not driven another turbo to tell you what stock feels like

Driving the two back to back, I can tell you I'd never consider the stock suspension as adequate again. I drive my car a bunch, then drive my boss' TT Cab on occasion and it truly feels like a boat in comparison.

That being said, I'm a cheap ***, so paying 4k for suspension is pretty pricey. One way I usually look at it is as a 10% increase in cost of the car. If the car had a better suspension, would it have been worth another 10% to pay for it up front?

Don't know anything about them, but H&R clubsport coilovers sell for $1,875 on tirerack. Installed priced would about $2,500 total.

It's a great upgrade as long as you take the time to dial it in, which sometimes can take a while. I think you it depends on how you value your ride and if its worth the money. I would also consider some KW V1's too. For more information on coilovers Click Here

Thanks guys...I think what I need to do is to space out all of these mods and not try to do everything at once. I need to focus on the big things first and tinker with the suspension later---this does not seem like an urgency unless I was tracking the car.

I think a full fluid change on the car might be money better spent at first. I'm still trying to remedy things from the prior owner.

This is what seems to be the common theme. More people have indicated this than any thing else. I think I need to take this wisdom and zip my lips for a while. It doesn't seem like an urgent need and money would be better spent in other places---for now.

if you track your car heavily you won't want the PSS10, you will want something better so that is not a correct assumption. PSS10 is a street suspension with correct track usage but a heavily tracked car won't like the PSS10.

The car will handle sharper/better and will be more planted at speed. I personally think that the Turbo looks WAY better lowered (not slammed). For me it'd be worth the money just to lower the car (using a quality system).

Is any of this worth $4k to you? I have absolutely no idea.
