Default Wheel Opinions Sought

I have a Carrara White Turbo, which I looked high and wide for. I really wanted one with white painted interior, and *gasp* factory color matched wheels. I realize that white wheels are a taste thing, but I do like them.

To complicate things, I happened across a set of BBS LM's in perfect condition and bought them. They've been sitting on my shelf for the last 8 mos because the tires are 997 sizes and my OE rims have new tires on them. I've had lots of folks tell me that the BBS wheels are great wheels for the 996TT, and are an improvement in all areas.

Since I'm about to mothball my car for the winter, I thought about painting the centers of the BBS wheels to color match. Is that a little too much?

my, .02, just to try the color match centers, Plasti-Dip.

If you go thru the further expense, and don't like white centers, then you'll have more work to strip the coat and try to get the silver back and cleared.

another option, maybe try graphite colored centers. or gold.
Whatever you choose, post pics.

I'm sorry I meant to say just the centers would be white!

I like the idea of gold centers ala some of the tradional Porsche race cars. Your BBS mesh would look nice in gold with polished lips.

Great color choice also. First white 996 TT I have seen with painted sport seats like mine....

The all white is a little much for me. That said, the gold mesh says 70's Trans Am. Breaker 19. Calling the Bandit.

Honestly, mm's white with silver GT3 wheels looks awesome to me. That's the look I would go for, so the BBS wheels are the best of what you posted.

So my idea of adding a full size Pontiac "Fire Chicken" to my hood would not be advised SSST?

Whatever floats your boat. It's your car, but I reserve the right to forever call you Cletus.

When I was 18, I wanted one of those so bad. If I ever find a 76 black and gold in really good shape at a decent price, I will probably buy it just for kicks. It has to have T-tops though.

If you like the white look, I would go with the GT2/3rs 10 spoke in 19" and paint those white.
..and then sell me your BBS..

Not a fan of the white wheels.

I like the BBS wheels a lot just as they are.
