Hey everyone, I have been reading posts here for a while and decided it was time to get an account and introduce myself. I am a general contractor in Utah. I have always loved cars, and the Porsche 911 has always been at the top of my "someday" list. I recently purchased an 04 996 turbo from a good friend of mine. He bought it new and has used it as a daily driver for about 7 years. It is not perfect. Has a few dings and scratches, and a lot of miles, but it is still a PORSCHE right!
It is bone stock as far as I know.
Anyway, thanks in advance for the welcome. any suggestions and/or advice are appreciated!

Got her to 152 MPH a few days ago. That is pretty fast for a guy who is used to driving a ford pickup

I seriously am so excited. My wife was concerned that I would not fit, being 6'5 and 275 #'s but it is surprisingly comfortable. (she thought I should get the cab so my head could stick out the top

That's one of the most scenic drives in Utah; and plenty of curves.
Sounds like you're a candidate for a 340mm aftermarket steering wheel. It really increases the room between your right leg and the steering wheel. I'm a little north of 6'2" and had essentially no room between the OEM steering wheel and my right leg, even with the seat in my normal driving position of full back and full down. My 340mm steering wheel solved that.

What is that color? It looks too dark for Arena Red - is it Carmon Red?
Either way, welcome and congrats - car looks great in a color other than silver or black.

Welcome! Given that you're in Utah and drive a fast car, maybe you've got perspective on something that I remember from a Steve Young interview about a decade ago.
Steve said that he was a somewhat crazy driver, being that he's Mormon and a lot of other things are denied to him (through his faith), that driving fast is pretty much all he's got left?
Whether you're a Mormon or not, does that strike you as true? And if so, then the TT is probably a great car!

Welcome from Holladay, Utah!
Utah is the perfect place for a Turbo. Where did you stretch its legs? I took my previous C2 on the West side of Utah lake to Elberta and ran it up to 155 mph.
