Default So I bought a 996TT.....

but it will not be here until friday morning!

After 2 years of owning and driving a 996 and 6 years prior to that in an aircooled 3.2 carrera, I have a 2001 Porsche 996TT. Excitement does not quiet describe how I feel...it does...but coupled with the antipication of having to waiting for another 24 hours-I might go out my mind.
It left Nebraska yesterday. The driver of the transport called last night. It took weeks of negotiations with the dealership in Lincoln to sort out the details, price etc. I am glad that finally it is almost all done.
My two boys (9 and 5) and I will be watching the window tomorrow waiting for the new addition to the family to arrive. Hopefully this will be something we can all enjoy for years to come.

Congratulations on the purchase! Show us lots of photos when it arrives, and get ready for a perpetual smile (especially when the boost comes on).

Finally here. Waited all day for the transport to arrive. The car had been sitting in the showroom of the dealership and the battery was dead. I had a new battery on hand. Got the hood open, installed new battery and got it of the transport. Only did a short drive down the road. The plates will be transfered on Monday. Car looks good. Couple of things are not working. I need to check fuses. Also an issue with the checking the oil level but I will post that in another thread so it does not get buried in this intro thread.

Congrats!

Id get that thing aligned and corner balanced. The front suspension seems oddly higher than the rear.

Congrats, that thing looks sinister! I love black but never have the time to really keep it looking good.

Congrats on the purchase, love the black on black Hopefully you got the little things figured out over the weekend. I would consider our new 996TT OEM Style Big Brake Kit to accent those awesome looking wheels, and add some extra braking power to an otherwise perfect car.
