Factory stereo going out

Scawt, what head unit is that? How did you avoid factory alarm issues when hooking up? Was it plug n' play, wiring harness? I've looked over on Crutchfield and when I enter 996 as a vehicle, it says "They are still researching our cars"-LOL!

I haven't replaced the stereo in my car YET, but I have been doing a bunch of research on the best way to go about it. Searching some other forums (or maybe it was somewhere on RL) I found this site: Euro-Motorspeed which has Double Din installation kits for 996 and others. Provides all the harnesses and brackets to remount your AC Unit and attach an upgraded stereo. Supports a bunch of common units too, like Kenwood, Pioneer, and others.
As far as the stereo unit itself, I have been leaning towards a reasonably priced unit that supports Aux in and bluetooth calling/streaming. I really like the Pioneer AVH-3400BH
