Hands Free Kit
Hi all, I'm a very newbie and have spent the last 4 hrs trying to find the answers to 3 things.
First I have come from a 2007 M6 which I could sync my phone with the car and hey presto phone worked with car perfectly.
The Stereo sound was amazing and the I can't tell you how much I miss the HD Radio!!!
I know the car was much newer and I don't expect the same technology.
1. How can I make the Stereo sound better. Can I simply upgrade the speakers. It dosen't have to be concert like, just sound a little better.
2. Whats the best bluetooth android system to add to car for phone and music?
3. Has anyone experence with this:Parrot MKi9200 Advanced Color Display Bluetooth Hands-Free Music Kit ???
I have been on here and other sites looking for treads, so If I missed them I apologise. If so please point me in the right direction.
Thanks in advance!!!

I used the Parrot Bluetooth kit on my '04 TT Cab andit worked great. Later updated to whole new stereo/nav system (Dennison) which actually still uses the Parrot technology for Bluetooth.

If you have the Bose system, this system uses 2ohm speakers. Since upgrading the speakers will probably be 4 ohm speakers you will loose volume, and you will need to do all of them since a mix of different loads will surely screw up the balance. A lot of guys strip the whole system out from receiver thru amp to speakers.

I have CDR23 with Bose speakers. I don't want to go down road to replace everything. Just looking to see if cheap upgrade is available to improve sound and an aftermarket product that alows me to use phone (android, Bluetooth) through car stereo system

I use the fact that I'm driving a 996 TT cab as an excuse not to talk on the phone while I'm driving. It's a safety issue don't you know!
As for sound quality, the stereo isn't the reason I bought the car. The best sound comes out of the two shiny oval things at the rear.

You still did not answer my question...do you have factory phone switches in your console? (toggle buttons with the image of a phone on them). If so, there is a dension (gateway 500) solution if not, you would have to go with an external BT solution.

I tried the Dension solution, but there is just way too much background noise for it to be useful. I have found a good BT earpiece with high end noise cancellation to be the most effective solution.
