Kevin, mechanical piston valves are more expensive and require one to remove them and service them. VAG has introduced a new part (Kaiser) in the Audi line that will remove the failure, and service schedule. It fits and looks exactly like the factory Porsche valve. Roger at Orbit might make a great recommendation (no knock on him or you). However, there are race teams here in the US and across the pond that use the Audi 710N valve. Google it.. I use to recommend the Forge valves, they are great valves. However, pulling them apart to clean and troubleshooting boost issues with sticky pistons required sending out oring kits and grease to repair them. I gave a second look at the 710N's.. The throttle response is better with these valves because there is no mechanical up and down motion. Plus they are alot cheaper and in a pinch one can get them at your local Audi dealer.

Why are my brand new Audi 710N DVs honking? Is that normal for them?
