Very upset with Rennlist forum

Here is my experience. I am the original owner of an 80,000 mile 2002 X50, now equipped with Europipe, UMW tune, and PSS10's. I was recently at the Porsche dealer, and drove the new C2S. That car is not only not better than mine, it is absolutely numb from the driver's seat. The bottom line is that the mods to a 996tt improve the performance to the point that there is no point in looking at the newer car.
I would not have felt that way on the original suspension, exhaust, and tune. So, good luck in keeping it stock...... AS

but i digress... the 991's.. i agree, it's not better if you really want to "DRIVE". but for every day tooling around? the new 991s is a hit, i have to say.
i would say the 991s is a great car in traffic, but better yet, any modded tt is an even better way to get away from traffic.

I spent half a day in the 991s. It is a better car, but not a better 911. It was better than my car in every way except one. It wasn't nearly as much fun to drive, and that's the whole reason for owning one of these cars.

Yes, it has made a dramatic difference in the ride quality of the car. I had the car setup to GT2 spec so it was lowered quite a bit. The interesting thing I found with the PSS10s over stock is the car actually takes the small bumps in the road much better. The car has a more solid feel and my wife commented about how much smoother it feels with the new shocks. I am only running them on 2 out of 10 so I can always stiffen them up with a twist of the *****. Ultimately, I highly recommend the PSS10s over the OEM setup.

Yes with Eibach sways as well. Man what a difference in the car. If feels so solid. I'm still playing around with the settings, but on the softest setting it is definitely more compliant than stock. Heck, I don't even hear my sunroof rattle anymore. The car is flat and lowered about 1" in front and .75 in the back. I'm very happy with the setup, especially how easy it is to change the settings.
