Don't get the nmae brand gasoline comment. Most off brands come form the same refineries as the main brands!

That is true. The difference between brands is the additive packages. They all have them, and they all are designed to do the same things. Whether one additive package is better than another is a question I won't attempt to answer.

SSST is correct, often times the gasoline from a name brand station will be sold to an X brand station down the street from the same tanker truck. It is the "Top Tier" additives that are much improved over what is found at the X brand station.

Trying to get some thoughts on daily driver service items/upgrades.
I have a 996 Turbo, and was wondering about the:

engine mounts
trans mount
exhaust
suspension

I have read that there are upgrades that fit a 996 T from a 997 T that are big improvements, but wondering if other after market options that worth the time.

Engine mounts I’m leaning towards stock 997 mounts (RSS/Wevo may be options)
transmission I’m getting the 997 version but wonder if I need the inserts for a street/daily driver
exhaust-probably staying stock
suspension- ohlins when the stock goes

looking for performance without sacrificing too much comfort.
Thanks

964 engine mounts can get all parts for 600ish new
new corteco stockers are 200 total.
997 supercedes 996 t mount got mine for 260
stock exhaust is fine for daily.

less than 500$ and an hour youve got a car that doesnt shake itself at every light.

wevo semi's along with a *new* 997 t-mount will be the kind of improvement in tautness and firmness of ride, you'll instantly appreciate. no need for any "insert" it's the direct OEM superceded part for the car. there's a *minor* increase of NVH from the semi solids that might annoy some if they "dd" in traffic a lot. but you'd get used to it in a week, and it contributes to the kind of visceral *feedback" from the drivetrain that we deserve in these cars.

suspension and exhaust are a can 'o worms conversation as you know. with myriad choices. i have a kline and run MO 30's on h&r reds. perfect for my canyon driving ( that i once did )
