Default clutch advice please

I just had a new Kennedy six puck mettalic disc and Kennedy pressure plate installed. The clutch pedal now sits very high. So high that my knee hits steering wheel when I fully engage. Since it is a racing agressive clutch with on/off behavior, this makes it more difficult as clutch needs to be in full up poistion to engage. Anyone have this experience? Anyway to address this with a hydraulic clutch?

Thanks in advance

I think the clutch bite point is pretty standard. I have the original clutch still in mine and the bite point is right at the top of the travel.

To fix this you will need to cut lengthen and then weld the slave piston. Hopefully it isn't for the street.

I would have went with a modified Sachs pressure plate with a 8 puck ceramic before I would go with the 6 puck.

Mine isn't...with the original clutch or with Kevin's. Needs to be installed correctly IMHO.

For STOCK clutches the travel should be towards the bottom. If at the top you have a "worn" clutch lining.

Thanks gentlemen. Fortunately for track use. But, it does slow down the shift process and makes it harder to be smooth. Could there be an install problem or is this the nature of the beast?
