Default Anyone using Joe Gibbs DT40 oil?

Thinking about switching from mobil 1 0w-40 to this Joe Gibbs DT40. Any reason I shouldn't use this in my 02' Turbo?

Thanks

The initial reports look good. Try it out and send in your oil samples for testing.

Yikes that's over $10 qt before shipping. So what makes this so much better then any of the other M1 oils used in Porsche.

God, I'd love to see a FRIGGING SPEC PAGE!

Seems like just mealy-mouthed marketing blather- which is fine, you gotta sell. But even Mobil publishes specs!

Yea seems silly. I use diesel oil in my diesel truck and M1 0w40 for the P car.

I used the dt40 in my 99 C4 and it made it noticeably quieter and purported to be something that could "save" the M96 motor long term. i believe it has high Zn that helps with flat tappet motors (quote from Jake Rabey?) I sold the car and a buddy still daily drives it at 175K miles using dt40. When i researched it for use in the turbo there was some concern that it was too thick for the turbo motor and it's oil pressure controlled valve train. M1 5-50 for me.

I use Motul 300V. My oil analysis have looked better with this than they did with any other oils I've used... M1, Rotella, Royal Purple, etc etc. My car is tracked and driven to the track occasionally, so not much low rpm low speed driving. Not sure if I would use 300V in a road car unless you want to change it every 2500-3000. It's not made to last long-it's a different chemical makeup than the extended drain oils.

Fake news. Not true. Not an A40 approved oil.
