Default Anyone ever straight pipe there 996???

I have a RUF 550 package but have heard a few 996 with straight pipes on you tube sounds pretty cool with the sound of the turbos spooling up and down..

Just not sure what this does to performance? Especially with the money I have in on the RUF components

I've driven a 996 turbo with straight pipes...way too loud for my tastes.

Ya I think RUF tunes there cars to specific specs on the cats and exhaust..so if I cut out my expensive cats Id probably hinder performance

My NA Targa had straight pipes and I hated it, there are some videos on youtube. I couldn't wait to put the mufflers back on.

I'm running the FVD race pipes (straight, no cats) for a car that does 95% track work. Would not really recommend it for mostly street work. BUT, if you're doing mostly track work it's fantastic to get that weight out of the rear. Really sharpens up the handling.
