Default Best intake, chip, exhaust?

Looking to do an intake chip and exhaust. Would go with a quiet exhaust as I don't want a drone and don't want something too loud. I was looking at Fabspeed all the way but I have been hearing so so stuff about them. Eurosport looks good for the exhaust. Want about 500+ hp out of my 2001TT.

If you want quality stuff, you have a lot better options than Fabspeed.
Look for Europipe, amazing quality. Fabspeed probably cheaper, but you get what you pay for.
Now you have a lot of bobo brands options for 996TT. Looks like every company out there became a Porsche tuner and product manufacture. 911tuning (Markski) does stuff that works. Not an amazing craftsmanship, but they work. Intake, you keep the stock intake, but if you're talking about inlet pipes, that's different.

Lots of options out there these days. I have an EPL tune and a Speedtech 3.0 exhaust for well over a year now. I love the combination.

Really? I think Markski's exhaust is a work of art!

My opinion Tubi is good a little on the pricy side, if I were to spend that kind of money I would go for the Europipe. Key in selecting an exhaust is notto have any drone at cruise. Some exhaust exhibit the drone at cruise which is annoying.

I have to say, that with "ANY GIVEN" exhaust system you have a compromise. I can say that with the Europipe Stage 2 Quiet or Loud, the compromises are the price and weight. It is my opinion that the compromises are minimised with the Europipe Stage 2 system when you SELL the exhaust. The price shouldn't be the issue. The exhaust sell USED for 75% of the purchase price. You are leasing this exhaust for 25% of the purchase price. No other system on the market will give this return on your wallet. And for those that have been on this forum for many years will see that once the verified used Europipe is put on this forum it will sell the very same day. Infact it will usually sell within 6 hours. The weight issue can be minimized by comparing apples to apples. Is that comprable system giving you 5" diameter 100 cell metal German made cats? Each cartridge weight 9lbs. plus the extra stainless casing. Most systems do not have safety heat shields. To often a "race" muffler with no cats or "less" are being compared to the Europipe.

As far as quality and the welds, you cannot get any better with the Europipe. When you add the totals up, it's a wise decision to purchase a Europipe Stage 2 system. The highest resale value, with the quickest sale point (NO FIRE SALE) How many times do you see used systems sitting trying to get sold in Months.. Lastly, they really do sound awesome. The tone and lack of drone is music to your ears.

I'll be posting a thread on Spring 2012 tuning pricing specials.

I checked out Ultimate Motor Werks and all they do is tuning and the next move up is replacing turbos? My main problem is I believe that my car has been chipped but I have no verification. Is there any way to find out if it was chipped? I understand I cannot know whose chip it is. Also, am I truly to believe that the only exhaust that has no drone and isn't super crazy expensive that people like on 996TT is the Europipe?

Assuming all you've done is look at the web site, what you really need to do is call Kevin at UMW and talk to him.
