Default 996TT for sale outside of chicago

I saw a 2002 996TT for sale in Woodstock at a ford dealership. Since I am in NYC and the guys at the dealership are hard to deal with over the phone, I was just wondering if there might be a rennlister who lives in that area who might be able to take a look at the car to determine if it is worth considering.

Thanks,

jon

I've already spoken to the dealer and set up a price on it. I actually have another thread about it.

This car is selling for $37K.. Someone needs to go and look at it. If it hasn't been wrecked someone could get a great deal.

Most likely needs > tires, spark plugs, if it has the 2nd gear pop out, it wouldn't break the bank. Someone had it in for service. It has a new air filter.

Get a plane ticket and check it out.

That's the plan. I got the paperwork and worked out the numbers with the dealer. Spoke to the owner of the dealership last week. Will know Monday morning in regards to travel.

Congrats,
I saw the add online and the car looks really nice. That is a great price for a 2002 and a great color combo. I had been watching that car before I saw this post. I will most likely be looking for a similar deal in the spring if I can bring myself to part with my 993.

In case anyone didn't see in the above thread this car is still up for sale. I have rescinded my interest/offer. However unless you are close by and can look in person it's a gamble. These people are hell to deal with. They expected me to wire them 35k in cash and they didn't even have the title in hand. See the car in person. If you do go, talk to a girl named Tracy. She is pretty nice, and only working with what the folks at the top give her. Like I said, I would only do business with these people if you are close by and knowledgeable in the car and have a good inspection done.

why would they not even vacuum the car out before taking photos?
I am guessing someone that works at the dealership is driving that car until it sells.

Text them back that your offer has now dropped by $5k for the way they treated you, and since the other 'buyers' backed out, they better take your offer quickly.
