Default Amplifier Problem

Tried to start my TT and the battery was too weak. I used my jumper box and the clip slipped off while trying to start. I reattached and started the car. A message on the display indicated the amp was inoperable, and I also had to reinsert my Nav CD to get that working. It turns out I blew a 25AMP fuse but the amp still does not work after replacement. So I removed and hopefully it can be repaired locally.

Question. Are the electronics in the TT more susceptible to jumping than say my 2001 996? I never considered this might be an issue. A reman digital amp is $650 from Suncoast with core exchange.

I know I need a battery tender which has already been ordered!

Did you jump to the battery, Porsche has jump points at the engine?

This sounds like a surge went where it shouldn't; did the lead touch something else?

I will be sure to do that in the future. I know where you are talking about as I have used those jump connections on my Carrera 996.
