Brian, Don't let the bottom feeders impact your intent, or your price. I do not understand why so many sell their 996TTs for so little... Consider selling through a high end/high traffic dealership with a commission. You might find its worth the extra you pay not to deal with idiots and people expecting fire sales.

USER,
I was not ragging on your car or the price. I thought he was overly optimistic on his price point.
Not apologizing either.

To the OP, for what it's worth, I didnt read his post as ragging on your price. Rather, just a data point. I have been researching/poking around the 996tt market lately, as the prices have become attractive to someone who likes to spend $50-60k 'ish for a weekend Porsche. My choice of weapon has historically been 993s, but with the same bottom end have often thought about trying a 996tt. From my research, I would say that there are many out there in the 50s with mileage the same or lower than yours. Doesnt mean your car is priced too high, just saying, that maybe it will take a special buyer that appreciates the loaded nature of the car, etc. Good luck with sale, it is a gorgeous car...

This 996TT has a lot going on for it, special colors, X50, excellent condition... $60k is not absurd if a little high but then again this is the initial asking price which in my book sounds ok... this car at $57k is a steal for any new owner...

stick to yoru price only time will tell. I will say there is lots of competition out there for these cars from 40k-60k if your too high you will know. I would bet you will sell for around 52k.

Fall is 60 days away, existing cars are about to be one year older. Some first time buyers with cash in hand will pull the trigger...sooner rather than later. Others who are a little more wiley or patient will wait for the dog days of late fall and early winter to shoot. While sohisticated and well healed sellers will settle in and wait for the elevated prices and warm sunshine days that the coming spring offers. "That's why they call it fishing and not catching". There's usually a lid for every pot!
