Default Front Suspension Clonk or Nock Noise

Asking for help regarding noise from the front suspension. I had a mechanic look at it but couln't find anything wrong.
When I drive over cobblestone pavement or surfaces than are very uneven where the suspension has to work and adapt fast with up and down movements I hear a clonk or nock noise from the front right wheel. Sounds like something can move up and down that shouldn't but we couldn't find anything loose.

Any ideas?

Do you have a stock or modified suspension, particularly the sway bars?

All stock - 2002 996TT

The mechanic told me that Porsches are known to have noises in suspension but I don't believe it.

An additional comment: in my area I have a bumby road that is quite steep. When I drive down, 2nd gear without breaking the noise can be well heard. When I apply the break the noise is gone. So either it makes a a difference in putting pressure to some components of the suspension system or it has something to do with the brake itself.

Could be a brake pad rattling in the caliper. I'm in Lausanne - any chance you are close enough for me to hear it in person?

Hi Jon, are you working as a mechanic? I visit Geneva quite often but always take the train - could make an exception next time if we get to meet. We'll stay in contact via PM.

Was on a drive earlier on. I don't think it has anything to do with the brakes. Comes more central. Can anything else be loose, maybe it's not the suspension...steering column or so?

Ok, I checked the pads, they're ok, they don't move. About the drop links and the control arm where would the issue be or how would I check it?

BTW, control arm I know how to find (996 341 043 03), drop links are stabaliser mountings (996 343 073 04)?

I would suspect the front sway bar links.

I had this after lowering my TT by using Ruf sport springs. Only on hard right steering lock and reversing out of my driveway (there is a slight incline difference between the driveway and street). Mechanic couldn't find anything. The problem solved itself however when I went to Bilstein PSS 10 coilovers a few months ago.
