Hi Guys,

i just got my 996TT (Blk/Grey, Tiptronic, stock setting) couple wks ago. I go thru this forum for the ECU flash and so much positive feedbacks, are there any bads after flashing? I plan to keep my stock air-flow, exhaust at this moment. should i upgrade my ECU

Thx alot~~My workshop told me after flashing the ECU, the Tiptronic respond will improve. I wonder if that's for real? How much does it cost on avg to replace the clutch?

A good flash will allow the turbochargers to start to spool up quicker and with MORE flow. The result is more torque. Engine torque will allow your tippy torque converter to transfer the power to the wheels sooner.

You won't have to worry about your "clutch" yes the tippy does have a clutch pack but at the ECU flash level, you won't harm it.

If you haven't replaced the gearbox fluid I would strongly recommend the oil change.

Kevin also provides a flash BTW. You should give him a call as an option as well.

Are X50s worth it anymore or is the flash a bigger difference for less dough?

Or, you could look at it as an additional "add-on" X50 WITH a ECU Flash.

But, honestly, how much Horsepower do you really need? With the flash on my Turbo, I am adding an additional 90 horsies to the 420 stock. With 510 HP, this car just FLIES. I don't know what I'd do with another 100 HP on top of THAT!!!
