Default Euro GT3 seats?

Guys, I saw some Euro GT3 seats in Natural Brown leather with black backs advertised on ebay for $3k/pr. This could be the closest thing I get to the high blostered Sports Seats that I've had and love. These would match my car perfect and look quite nice as what I think would be an upscale mod.

In the cool weather like now, snowed today, I'd change back to the heated stock seats, but use the GT3 ones in most of the 3 seasons. I imagine I could change back and forth in an hour or less.

Do the GT3 Euro seats fit with the stock belts ok? It looks like they have a slot on the lower outside to feed the lap portion. How does this work with the lap and shoulder belts attached to the left side?

Also thoughts on this for street only use and maybe a few short trips <500 miles.

If I didn't have kids I would have my GT3 buckets in 24/7/365. I bought an extra set of receivers so I don't have to swap them back and forth between the seats. Now I have a set permanently attached to the GT3 buckets. LINK

They fit perfectly. FYI.....I track my Turbo with the GT3 buckets and 3 point factory belts!

Am I correct in assuming I could do the switch over in about an hour? I took the Sports Seats out of my previous cab a couple of times to do a thourough interior detail, pretty fast and simple.

I don't remember and haven't looked but the belt receivers are attached to the seats rather than the chassis floor?

Would you do the switch even for street only driving?

Appreciate your take on this.

Easily in <1hr. You just need to be VERY careful taking your time so you don't scuff the leather, center console, etc., since the stock seats weigh as much as a 3rd grader.

If you need help with the install let me know.

Sounds like it's time to do anther DIY for the repository!

I remember the biggest challenge was not to gouge my painted console with the seat rails upon removal. The cab makes the job pretty sweet.

Thanks, need to get the wheels issue sorted first, then another mod that's waiting to be installed, I'll report on later.

Yup, the CAB is a snap. It was a piece of cake when I would do the seat swap in my wife's CAB.

Here's a link to a DIY. Doing it in a cab is like cheating!!!

Oh, and to answer your original question - no problem for the stock 3pt belt. You could feed it through the holes in the seat, but I didn't.

Jon

You talking subs?
I'm not an expert but......I believe that cross member for sub attach is a seperate part number......the number has changed several times. Going to the floor is my route however.......your call.
