I couldn't get the pictures to load either but I was able to figure it out anyways. The biggest thing for me was getting the sandwich of upper duct, intercooler core, and lower duct to be as close as possible to the original thickness of the stock parts. After a bit of work with the dremel tool I was able to get it down to about 1/2" thicker than stock and was able to get it back into the car. It was tight but it did eventually fit

You didn't get my point then...
The 997.2 3.8ltr Turbo has the very same IC as the 997GT2RS..
The new IC are more efficient. The foil(aluminum corrugation) and fin technology/design allows more heat transfer vs the X50/GT2 IC's. There is ZERO difference in the fin/foil between the standard K16 and the X50 IC EXCEPT, the X50/GT2 IC has the fins extend past the core assy. Roughly 3/16" You are creating more surface area to cool the charge air, but not enough to run higher boost and boost as high and added displacement of the 3.8ltr TT. Look at the torque that these engines make vs the X50.. Overlay the stock torque curves. The VNT turbochargers are working harder delivering more boost sooner and longer thru the RPM curve (stock vs stock).. The new IC's have to work harder>> more efficient.
You can buy a set of 997GT2RS IC for $1300.

The bottom line is that you just need to get the sandwich of parts as close to stock as possible. Trim away as much of the flanges of the upper and lower ducts as you can to make it work. It becomes pretty obvious once you get working on it.

I just watched the entire video and I didn't see where he posted a link to the intercoolers anywhere. Unless I totally missed it, he didn't say where he got them either. Can you post where you got them or send me a PM with the info?
