And a side note, N spec is not model specific to my knowledge. So a tire for a Cayman is N spec as well as a 911 which would need a different characteristic for proper handling and load rating in the rear...
Which makes it even more confusing as to how a tire for a 50/50 car could be the same for a 40/60 car.

Thus my reasoning as a business scam. It just seems crazy to me that a special "n" rating from porsche would be required. I highly doubt they try every single perforance tire out there.
I want some V12's now! But my front Sumis still have a ton of tread! Guess I will have to wait another year...
So, one concern that I have about tires for these cars is that they don't last long. Buying a set of tires every year, or three sets every two years is probably just part of the price of admission, but this is the first time that I have heard someone complain that their tires aren't wearing fast enough!!! In my book, I would have stuck with the Sumi's unless I was unhappy with the traction on them.
So, the question stands, are you trading to the Hankooks because you're unhappy with the Sumi's, or is it that you are moving to the Tire de jour?

lol, I just want to try them out. The sumis are great, but never hurts to try something new! The fronts on my car are lasting FOREVER! They look like the have the same as new tread! I have had them for 1.5 years and about 9000 miles!
Rears, they are about gone. Probably another 1000 miles... But I have -2.5* camber all the way around that doesn't help!
I agree....for a street tire not used on the track, hard to beat on a thing going 20k in front and probably 12k in the rear.....

Just a newbie type of question, but in a Turbo, since they are driving with all 4 wheels is the wear more equalized from front to rear? Maybe the better question is, do you end up with 12K on both front and rear, or would it be more towards the 20K on front and rear? I should only be so lucky!!!
