How much to upgrade my 6GT2 MK1 stock K24's to something like K24/18, plus the flash ? Will I be able to still run the stock clutch and IC ? Upgrade to 5FPR? Got already Evoms DV's. Car has 11k mls.

I don't support the 24/18G's I have other newer more efficient compressor wheel designs that I CNC in my own compressor housings. With the GT2 K24 platform it is VERY easy to exceed the fueling. The pricing given for this "special" is for a standard flash upgrade. For your stock K24's I would recommend adding my wastegate kit. With the WG kit installed you and a 5 bar we will MAX out the fueling> especially with your 91 octane. Put another way> to maximize the larger hybrids one really needs the fueling package with injectors.

place your wallet safely in another room (preferably under lock and key) and give Kevin a call (360.805-9066). Be prepared to be on the phone for a while LOL... It will be worth it - whatever you decide to do, but you will not be disappointed - especially for a grand. For me, it is not so much the power, but throttle response, wide power band, smooth accel. and great, great advice. He has been a tremendous resource for me (and others).

That's more like a whole magazine.

I have Kevin's Stage 2A, and I can echo what was said above. He knows what he's about, will gladly spend time working with you to get the package you need, and his products... well they just work. Throttle response is great. In fact, my car is easier to drive on track now than it was when it had 100 less hp and a Brand X tune.

Kevin's tune on an X50 is well worth having. It took a GIAC misadventure for me to figure that out. It will improve every mile you drive, as the effects are seen at all levels of the rev range. You will absolutely not regret this. AS

It would be interesting to compare datalogs on the original and tuned X50. Do you have those?

Sorry, I'm not technical enough to have datalogs. But 70,000 miles on my X50 (50,000 stock, 15,000 GIAC, and the balance UMW) have pretty clearly demonstrated why I posted my opinion. Good luck, and let us know what you decide and how it turns out. AS

How is the tune installed? Is is diy and does a data cable come with the tune purchase? I looked through the website and did not find this info.

My car is stock turbo's, thus they are the K16's?

And, I guess it works well on a Tiptronic car?

Brick> the flash is read and written/installed thru my hand held programming slave unit. Inset the unit into your OBD2 port, toggle a button, 14 seconds later you have your file. Writing the tuned file is the reverse of the read. It's that simple. Tippy or manual gearboxes are noted when I talk or email you.
