I'm thinking I am going to go with the 997 Turbo ones that are about $40 a pair. Not in the mood to spend $200 for rear ducts right now.

Thanks everybody for the input!

Thanks. If I feel the 7Turbo ones are inadequate then I will definitely move to the $200 ones that require backing plate modification.

The reason I wouldn't take the backing plates off is the heatshield that protects the tierod and balljoint boots.

From my test and real world data doing FEA for Lola... That really does not make that much difference.
On street cars it really is more for keeping small rocks and debris out of the rotor.

Big fan of after a cool down lap, to exit and go for a drive - BIG difference in temps.

For those of us that instruct as well as have families at the track, that won't work. What I do.....I end my session a lap early and that way I get over a lap of cool down. Use very little brakes (which keeps the tire temps up) and notice longer life for my rotors.

I practice Dell's tactics... Then I can get back in for my students and see my son before I jump into someone else's rig!

Ditto... It's worked well for me too!
