Nice color...definitely unique. Not many paint to sample 996 turbos.

I would suggest buying a Certificate of Authenticity from PCNA, emailing the VIN to Suncoast for a free printout and sending the rear bumperettes to Eric at Bumplerplugs and having them painted to match the body color.

Congratulations and best of luck

L998= Non Metallic Paint to Sample. So you do in fact have a Porsche with Audi Amulet Red which is an awsome color, put it next to a Guards Red and you will see just how different they are. Amulet is more of a deeper bright 'blood' red. Enjoy. Also keep in mind that Paint to sample for some reason is super rare on 996's of all versions. Whoever spec'd that car REALLY knew his stuff....what other options does it have? If you dont' have a PCNA COA for your car it most certainly is worth it.

Thanks guys. I've always loved the color...it looks so much better in person than on digital pictures.

Other "big" option is X50 package. It did have the Nav System...but I wasn't going to buy expensive outdated discs to make it work, so I just pulled the whole system and put in something newer. I'll run out to the garage for all the option codes. Any way to get a NEW option sticker printed? This one is fading badly.

I will send VIN to Suncoast...i've been buying stuff from them like an addict since I got the car.

Found the COA site for anyone looking:
http://www.porsche.com/usa/accessori...fauthenticity/

All the Options
X50 ENGINE WITH INCREASED EFFICIENCY 331/340 KW12
X66 TIPTRONIC GEAR SELECTOR IN DARK BURR WALNUT WITH ALUMINIUM INLAY
XE9 HANDBRAKE LEVER IN DARK BURR WALNUT WITH ALUMINIUM INLAY, LEATHER
XKL SPEAKER COVERS IN LEATHER
XMF FRONT SECTION OF CENTRE CONSOLE INCL. 2 TRAYS IN LEATHER
XMZ REAR SECTION OF CENTRE CONSOLE IN LEATHER
XN3 DASHBOARD SIDE AIR VENT IN LEATHER
XNG INSTRUMENT SURROUND IN LEATHER
XNN CENTRAL AIR VENT MOUNTING IN LEATHER
XNS STEERING COLUMN CASING, 4-PART IN LEATHER
XNU TRIM STRIP IN LEATHER
XV1 DEFROSTER TRIM IN LEATHER
X34 Painted Instrument Dials includes leather trim on instrument Rings
XPC 3-SPOKE SPORTS STEERING WHEEL IN DARK BURR WALNUT/MAPLE, LEATHER

The Steering wheel has been replaced with all leather since the wood was severely cracked. I still have it if someone knows how to fix the wood veneer.

I've gotten that a lot. But I now think powder coating the original rims is not a good idea. Maybe have to keep them and buy some new ones. :-(

Here is a nice photo of "RED" vs. "Amulet Red".

I had my rims powdercoated and they came out great. Much more durable too. I'm not sure how easily the chrome could be removed though. There are many sets of twists available for sale here and elsewhere for cheap. You could probably sell the chrome ones if you don't like them.
