I introduced myself on 6speed, but I am not sure how active everyone is between the two forums.
After 9 months of exhaustive search, I purchased an '02 Silver Turbo 31k mile beauty from Park Place Porsche in Dallas last Friday. I put about 300 miles on it over the weekend and I pronounce myself in love.
I gave it a bath this afternoon ... the thunderstorm began exactly as I was finishing. No kidding. I had to finish the front tires and towel off the raindrops in the garage.
I've been lurking for awhile with the occasional post. I've learned tons from everyone and now hopefully have some ownership credibility to help others.

Looks very good. Be sure to take car for short drive after washing to dry brakes. Had my 03 in the dealership the other day for oil/filter service and fuel filter. After work done dealer washes the car and then parks it outside for me, locked. I arange payment over the phone then after work drive to dealer, leave my Boxster and take the Turbo home. The other day I got in the Turbo and checked everything and started engine and after a short warmup tried to drive off but engine darn near stalled.
I made sure I had the transmission in 1st gear and the parking brake off and tried again. There was a hesitation and then a loud pop as the parking brakes broke free. Rust. In just that short a time, around 7 or 8 hours.
Sincerely,
Macster.

Thanks guys.
It's Artic Silver with Black leather. Stock with the exception of the side markers and an Evo airbox. 2 owners, have the service records from the 2nd. Always a southern car (OK,TX).
It has heated seats, aluminum shift, parking brake and door sills.
I'll keep it stock in the near future as I absorb the initial outlay.
All I can say is I should have done it a LONG time ago. Absolutely love it.

I'm considering an aftermarket warranty. Opinions?

ok...so I was also looking at this same car...was working with a guy named Eric. I remember from the pictures, there was small touch up spot on the front bumper...do you care to share the price? I know the asking, just seeing how much they negotiated down with you. Congrats on the purchase. As for warranty, I have heard many people using EasyCare - I think that is what it is called.
