Anyone trying to get me at 6speeds.com...
...Mark (Controlit) or Chuck (ChuckGt3) banned me there... So, if you're trying to get in contact with me via PM or the bogus email link there, it will not work.
I can't get to my PMs there, and can't reply to those who have been contacting me for help over the last several months... Bottom line is these people have impacted those who I've been helping for quite some time... 5-25 PMs per week...Anyway, for those who have been trying to contact me, I'm available via renntrack or thru email at dat74z@yahoo.com

Nope, When I log in it sends me to a screen that tells me I've been banned and that it is a Lifetime ban. The only reason I wanted to keep an active profile was to get my pms, retain some useful info in my PM box and troll the forsale ads...

I had a 996 C2 and split time between 6speed and Rennlist. Different places to be sure, but each brought something of value to me. Since I've been looking to buy a 6TT I've changes forums and the differences between the 996 forum and the TT forums are night and day. I made a comment here about it being so tune heavy over there and got stomped on by someone implying I was starting a forum war, which wasn't my intent at all. I just found it startling that there were so many people solely interested in HP, traps, and street racing.

Well, I was not much interested in 60-130 times, 1/4 mile drag racing, standing mile, and way more horsepower than most people will ever use... I did enjoy chatting with the track day 996TT guys... Renntrack is where that's at for me now.

definitely two different boards. it's all about age and how long people have owned their cars what they value most about it: at 6speed the average age is 32 and they value the platform and that a 996tt is a perfect way to modify and get crazy, reliable power with a stock engine. here the average age is 42 and we value that it's a porsche and when it was made it was a legitimate supercar that today is unappreciated. of course it behooves one to be on both boards.

I used to go on NSX Prime a ton when I had my NSX - but when the pricepoint became more affordable, it ended up being a lot of young import guys who loved to bling the cars out and talk about stereo equipment. The few get-togethers I did with members of that board really made me feel old......kind of how 6speed feels every now and then, although I have picked up a lot of help over there too. I guess to each his own - I waste way too much time on all the forums.

Yea, I voluntarely left, trolling to keep the PMs answered (I was getting a ton of "help" PMs) and checking the forsale section... Then I got a cold call from a mod (who I won't out here) and talked on the phone with him about the situation and why I left... next thing I know, I'm banned...
Really nice guys running that board...

I have personally boycotted that board since CJV left here to be a mod there. After all his crap about posting all the data for the Porsche "community", he became the complete hypocrite when he erased all his posts.
