Dell, one more data point with a slightly different twist on the location of the actual garage door opener. Easy access if the battery needs to be changed.

I bought the right car. The 996 Turbo can be returned to it's rightful sports car state with a little work. Part of that work is avoiding making the car even more GT'ish with mods.
I got the MB AMG Cab for all the fluff stuff.
Unfortunately, for traditional Porsche sports car enthusiasts like me, attitudes like yours have carried the day with Porsche.

Dude your talking to DELL, he exemplifies the real porsche attitude and to most of us is the guru of the gt3, drop in on the purist side of the website and check out the gt3 world, Dell rules it!
He has earned his cushy ride.

Hmmn, I never would have thought an innocuous thread regarding a garage door opener would have caused such a stir....
I know what this thread needs, a good calming diversion....
How about a good old fashioned oil viscosity discussion?

Can somebody be banned for driving, I mean towing, with a Cayenne?
In all seriousness though, I'm not going to let one bad apple ruin the thread. Looks like the rest of the posters feel the same way.

No one has done anything worthy of earning an all expenses paid vacation in the OT Politics and Controversy forum; at least not IMHO.
P&C is where we send people who are serious about learning how to ruin threads, win friends, influence enemies....
Definitely not my favorite forum to moderate, but I wasn't at the meeting when they voted on it, and well, I got stuck with it.

You ain't kidding. I just recently "peeked" into the P&C forum and couldn't believe what I saw. Now THAT is some serious banter. No thanks. I prefer to have banter about garage door openers

As long as it's within the posting guidelines and there are no personal attacks (for which I expect someone to hit the "report post" button), then feel free to manage your own thread.

#1. On behalf of PCNA Legal, I would have to ask you to add the word "allegedly" to your post above.
#2. Assuming I did at one time own a Cayenne and then attempted to tow an LED lighting equipped trailer with the aforementioned Cayenne, then I would have probably also brought along 2 Maglight flashlights, a case of D batteries and a roll of racer's tape.
That having been said, you're right, I deserve it.
