I for one appreciate Dell posting his ideas. I also agree that a lot of stuff that owners like to mod should have been standard on a car that cost $125k 9 years ago. The majority of TT owners aren't track rats looking for a sparse environment - many are like me, total posers who just love Porsches but can't even figure out where to put the blinker fluid.

The funniest thing about buying a Porsche anyway is the options list - could there be a longer list (or more expensive options)?

.
For an additional data point, I'm not a "track rat". You don't have to track a sports car to be able to appreciate the essence of "sports car".

Perhaps your time would be better spent reading threads that begin with "How to remove..." than offering up opinion on the demise of the worlds greatest sports car by way of garage door opener.
What am I doin in here anyway?....oh, nice DIY thread. I'll go back to my room.

Did you notice that he asked me why I felt the way I did about the installed garage door opener, and all I did was answer him??

I don't mind one bit that he posted about the hack.

How 'bout you just make a little side trip to Dallas and do all this stuff for me? I'll be happy to pay you in Chipotle guacamole and half a bottle of warm Rolling Rock..........

I know me. The easiest DIY in the world ends up with a trip to the ER, a trip to the dealership, or a trip to a divorce attorney.

I would imagine that RL member 'tkerrmd' would beg to differ. His 996Turbo track car had more than a "little work" IIRC.

That having been said, in the words of Hedley Lamarr in Blazing Saddles....

"Gentlemen, please rest your sphincters"

....and try and get back OT.

Thanks.

Can we sub Rolling Rock with Shiner Bock? I know my family would be happy to have me back. My family is in San Antonio and Austin plus a ton a friends in the DFW metro. Damn I miss that place
