Default Dealer syas part not covered under CPO ???

Took the car (under CPO warranty) in for alarm malfunction. They found the micro-switch behind the stereo to be the problem. They say part not covered under CPO warranty. The CPO warranty brochure clearly states all switches covered i page 3.

http://www.porsche.com/filestore.asp...letype=default

The cost is about $150 and not why I am raising a concern. I am just curious if getting fair treatment.

TIA for any comments.
Sam

Doesn't seem fair to me if they put it in writing. Try calling the area service rep.

Hi Sam - Did the dealership say why this particular switch was not covered?

Given what the brochure said, it would seem cut and dry.

No. They just say this specific part is not covered. I called Porsche NA and they promise to investigate but didn't promise anything. I agree the brochure seems to be very clear on covering all switches.

I have been thru the same, what year was your car purchased under the CPO program? the CPO warranty became a real "bumper to bumper" as of Nov 2008. Get the part number of the part they say that the car needs and call PCNA (1-800-porsche), that's what I did and they discovered that the part was actually covered, the dealer later claimed that their computer system was not updated... At the end of the day I got good service but I had to fight the issue for about 3 weeks..

Part # 996.645.106.00

dealer still thinks not covered. I will follow up with the Porsche NA.

Update: 4-6 weeks processing time. I will post the outcome.
