Default car wouldn't start after twe weeks in garage?

Gone for 2 weeks, return to find my TT not starting. Battery & alternator were both replaced last year. Nothing left on. Cayenne same nap time and no problems.
Normal ?

Could be. Depends upon usage car received for being parked for 2 weeks. If very infrequent and perhaps battery left to run down due to lack of use a couple of times even a new battery can be negatively affected.

Just to be sure when you get battery charged up again -- if it proves to be ok and not in need of replacing -- be sure no interior lights on and no other parasitic loads present.

If you're going to leave car parked a couple of weeks unused might be worthwhile being sure battery fully charged and even level a battery maintainer hooked up to keep battery in top form.

Sincerely,

Macster.

Actually this is quite normal...you must keep a maintainer on the battery...there are just too many opportunities for the battery to drain and Porsche cars need a lot to get them going.

The car is used as DD vehicle, 2 weeks seems like a short time for it to die but I may just use a battery maintainer next time around. As for parasitic drainage source, the only possibility could be its temperamental alarm system.
Thanks.

Going dead in 2 weeks doesn't seem right - I have let mine sit longer than that on a bunch of occasions and had no issues starting it.

Update: jump started the car (thanks to my pepper) and found the rear spoiler in raised position !????
I'll check the battery soon. Something still feels not right to me...I have had many cars including a Boxster and never had a problem like this one.

This happened to me two years ago. My battery lost it's ability to hold a charge, so was always going dead after only a few days of non-use. (Day to day was ok, but dead after 3 days). Just replace the battery-- not very expensive-- and problem solved.

But the battery & alternator are both only a year old.

Probably nothing wrong with the alt...the problem is with batteries...if they do not stay fully charged, they can fail quickly (also look for a bad cell)...once they have gone, there is no reviving....this is why I suggest keeping them on a maintainer...all the time.

Also keep your car locked. After locking, the car will turn off all parasitic drainage, however, you may still need to use the maintainer.
