Default Golf Clubs

Anyone have any solutions for golf clubs in a standard bag? I'm getting closer and closer to pulling the trigger on a 996TT, but I like to be able to take my sticks w/me ...anyone have a Pcar roof rack set up for same or just an 0.02?
I tend to drive cross country, and don't want to have to leave them behind and miss a chance to loose a bunch of golf *****....
TIA
Frank

You may want to consider a Targa rather than a Turbo .. the hatchback feature of the rear glass might suit your club problem better...

+1 on passenger seat with a medium Ping Bag, but not sure about the back seat unless I get creative like taking out the woods etc.

if you are going to have golf clubs in your TT you would loose the thrill of driving the TT. like filling it with groceries and driving home, what's the point of a 400+hp car with so much junk in it you cant even go around a corner faster than 25 mph

I have an idea, buy the TT drive it for what it was built for and put your golf clubs in another car when you go golfing.

I had the same concern before I got my '01. I regularly fit 2 bags in the back. Drop the rear seat backs and slide them in. I take my driver and woods out and set them on top. No issues. I take my buddy out all the time and we have regular carry bags. Don't think a cart bag will fit to well.

Re Targa- No turbo!
Mr. Kerr, are you angry at me or my golf clubs? I live/work in the Middle East, and during the short time I'm in NA, I like to travel and play golf. Sometimes in that order. I also have a very bad Porsche problem. No cure available, none wanted.
WRoss, Mother and Jrock- Thanks for the heads-up, me and the devil sticks are greatful. Mother, should be through Scottsdale December/Jan, hopefully in the new beast....Will bring sticks maybe we can meet up for a round.
OT- I noticed a TT for sale the other day and it had a emergency spare in it....OEM? Or from? Anyone carry same (thinking of long road trips, especially down to Guadalajara)?
Thanks all
Frank

I like driving my TT too much to not drive it when I go play golf!

Like jrockwood said, just take woods out and bags will fit perfectly. I have had only 1 carry bag in there but I am sure 2 would fit - 2 cart bags might be an issue. Put woods (heads down) in the rear footwells and they will sit diagonally behind the seats. No need to take hybrids out as the bag will fit with them in it.

OT - I believe most 911s have the spare under the lift-out panel in the front trunk - at least my 2003 TT does.

nj911- thanks for the info!
OT- I think it is the RUF that is for sale that has a covered spare in front....I had seen a thread earlier about spares, and someone mentioned that they actually had picked up a kit to put a full size in behind the pass. seat....Guess I thought that it was a run-flat system....Thanks again.

Put clubs in the back all the time, like has already been stated drop the rear seats and they fit fine.

How bout you get a real sport, like DE, or even better, racing?
I got a T-shirt that just about sums it up:
"Track Days: Because Golf is for pussies"
No offense intended, all in good fun.

4 simple steps:

1) Pull out Drivers from golf bag
2) Lower BothRear Seats
3) Place golf bag on the lowered back seats
4) Place drivers behind Front passenger seat

It doesn't get easier then this !!

My sentiments exactly. Could never see the 'thrill' in golfing. To each their own.

I do both so I must be a quasi pussie!
