Default 2002 996 Turbo 6spd, 33k miles, 500 hp $44,900

Another Rennlister special.....I have a Seal Grey 2002 996 Turbo 6spd coming in on trade. East-coast car, supposedly never tracked, no accidents, etc.

The deal is done....just waiting to get the car and I wanted to give anyone here a chance to jump on it before I put it up on the market!

I will have more information soon.....options, pictures etc.....car will be put through a full inspection similar to Porsche CPO inspection.

OK....the car is SEAL grey not Atlas as I was told originally.....but I just got it in and it's a nice car. 33,400 miles, 6CD changer, supple leather, heated seats, floor mats, and colored wheel crests. Also....500hp EVOMS ECU!

Car hasn't gone through detail or mechanical inspection yet and I'm waiting for the service records but it appears to be very nice. No evidence of tracking or paintwork. 9 out of 10 car.

Yes....I originally thought it would be $42,900, but I had to pay more for it on trade to get the deal done, plus I found out it has the 500hp EVOMS kit and a new clutch.....so $44,900 or best offer!

What exactly is in this "500hp EVOMS kit"?

Their stage 2 gets to 500 (they claim) and is exhaust, intake and ECU mods. Just a flash is not a 500HP car according to EVOMS

*edit* I looked at the car this morning.....it does have the EVOMS intake but stock exhaust.

It certainly FEELS like 500hp

Car is at our local Porsche shop for PPI today.

There is no aftermarket warranty I have ever seen that will cover a driverain failure to a car that has had an ECU mod. Surely you can BUY a warranty, and even some slimey companies would sell it to you even if you mentioned the mods, but all policies have language that excludes coverage if mods might have been somehow related to the failure.

True. And most aftermarket warranty companies will deny your claim no matter what ANYWAY.

I have not yet found an aftermarket warranty company that I trust, which is why I do not sell them nor recommend them. You have better odds starting your own warranty company, buying a warranty from yourself for $2500, and hoping you never have to cash in on your policy.

If you do your homework in buying a car, and have it checked out by a good Porsche mechanic, the odds are in your favor.

Speaking of which....just got the car back from our mechanic (Autobahn Extremist in Cleveland), and he went over the car, put a new MAF sensor in (was throwing a couple of codes), and the car is good to go. He said it didn't need anything else. Whee!

Car is available for test drive/viewing/PPI in Cleveland.
