pretty much everyone uses raggtop

when applying, mask off all your paintwork and glass thats near where you are spraying, its a real pain to remove even though the instructions say it isnt

What takes longer, masking off windows and paint, or cleaning up product over spray?

I actually think it is pretty easy to mask....I put some 2" painters tape on sheets of news print (1" on the paer leaving 1" to put on the car) and then run the tape along the top and the windows...it is much easier than removing the sealant IMO.

I drape old sheets over the open doors then close them. Its easier then masking the side windows.

I use a plastic drop sheet because it is thinner, and I insert it along the front edge of the roof from A-pillar to A-pillar while the roof is open. I also tuck it under the rear clamshell while it is partially open. The close the roof and most of the masking is done. Lower the windows, insert drop sheet over window tops, and close them. I usually have a little more masking to do, but this cuts most of the time.

My masking procedure usually takes about 15 minutes (incl about 10 minutes for the rear window), following by 5m of spraying, and 5m of removing the drop sheets and any extra masking.

I recommend spraying outside on a windless sunny day. The spray is nasty.

Dock, do two coats...let the first one dry. The can will last for 4+ coats.

ditto: 2 coats with another quick spray on the seams. One can typically lasts me 2 applications. Water beads well for about a year.

Just noticed that you haven't had much response about cleaning. I clean mine with a short boar's hair brush and the porsche car wash (little black bottle). 1 cap in 1g of water, lather it up with the brush, and rinse with plenty of water. Blot it dry with a microfiber towel. If I notice any lint on the black roof, this is followed by a lint brush (sticky roller type).

My 6 year old roof is still looking new. I've looked at newer pcars at the dealer where the roof was just ragged. Talked to the service guys, and I heard "that's what happens if the cloth isn't regularly cleaned and protected".
