Default Price check for '03 TT engine...

Hello!

I'm looking to buy an engine from a track wreck. How much is a Twin Turbo engine worth? The car spun and hit the rail on all 4 corners. Airbags still intact, so I assume chassis is still good? Rebuildable? :-)

Anyway, more keen to put the engine into a 996. I heard it's being done? Would like to know a ballpark sum.

Sprint.

hmmmmm...well putting it in a 996 is expensive. Not sure what you are getting the engine for, but you would be better off finding another tt to put it into...

It would cost you a fortune in labor.. Not only would you need the engine wiring harness but you would need the four other car harnesses. Sell your NA car and buy a 996TT the prices have fallen to become very obtainable.

What about the gearbox? The NA ring and pinion wouldn't last a month. It would be easier using your body parts >fenders roof, doors and rebuilding the turbo. Easier doesn't mean cheaper.

Intercoolers can be mounted like the 996 TT but with more slant or 993-style in the decklid.

Just curious, why did you convert yours to RWD?
