Anyone with 315/25ZR19 tires?
I just switched to 315/25ZR19 rear and 255/30ZR19 front tires and have noticed that the car seems too high now? Is there a universally recommended spring set for the 996 widebody? I have the euro spec front struts and springs, which lower the front 20mm, so to lower the whole thing one inch I'll need one inch in back and two inches in front.
Thanks,
Thanks,

Somehow this all seems rather counterproductive to me.....folks go to a larger rim, then look for product lines to drop the ride height to lower it again. I realize that we all have our preferences, but it does seem that a lot of money is spent altering the various parts according to what's cool and then having to compensate for the changes. So much of this seems trend related to aesthetics rather than any performance issue.
Now having made that statement, I also realize that many of us like to personalize our cars to our particular taste and to set it apart from the rest of the herd. That's why there's so much money in the aftermarket industry. Now some aftermarket parts do capitalize on an improvement that Porsche hadn't thought of at the moment....but there's a bunch that do little if anything other than deplete the VISA.

I run 315/25-19 in the rear and 235/35-19 up front on PSS9s... I would not do springs alone (coil-overs)...there are many to choose from depending on your driving style (PSSx, JRZ, JIC, Moton, ...). I also don't particularly care for or want the slammed look myself.

Chuck: The new Champion RG5 rims with Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 tires are so that I can mount Toyo Proxy R-888's on my GT2 rims for track days. The 335/30/18 rear 245/40/18 front combo really fills out the wheel weels, the 315/25/19 rear 255/30/19 front tires do not. Since I currently change tires, steering wheel, brake pads and exhaust, I can proibably justify the cost of some sort of adjustable suspension that will allow track and street configurations. Think "Transformers"...
