This looks oddly familiar...:

I think that ebay allows you to create a new listing based (copying) another one. To allow for faster creation of your ad.

Most likely what they did on this one...

Worth much more to me and clearly current owner of above car thinks so too. But, i understand no tt's are selling today. AS

I've seen a couple sold, but they were known folks from the Porsche forums and had cars that were nicely modded by guys who knew their stuff. I have no feel for how the dealerships are doing except that I see a lot of cars on the Porsche lots that are still there when I go by every once in a while. Tough times for a car salesman.

This from the e-bay description of the car...

The $17,880 X50 powerkit increased the horsepower rating to 451hp/457lbs.ft
As I recall, X50 produces 444 hp DIN (German measurement) or 438 hp SAE (American equivalent).

I am the owner and it's my personal car, it also is stock and is stronger than any stock gt2 we've dynoed. Having been a longtime pmna customer has it's priviledges. White cars are and always have been very special.

The advertisement on e-bay states that X50 increased power to 451 hp. Unless I'm mistaken, X50 is 444 hp.

As alluded to above I used the sell an item like this feature to create the ad. The published figure for an x is 444 but it's identical in all bits in the motor, turbos and intercoolers to a gt2, identical. This one is stronger however than a gt2. Porsche always puts the strongest motors off the engine dyno in white cars as that has always been their factory Motorsport color. Like I said, it's a special car. Thanks for the interest though.

It's just not real straight forward to advertise the stock X50 package at higher than OEM X50 power numbers.

Just me though...

Hmm well if it helps the actual hp is higher... and Wiki says 450 so go figure...The 450 also came from the Motor trend article and in the ad it clearly states the GT2 is 462 so not sure where You are coming from but once again thanks for the interest, let me know if there is anything else that needs to be clarified. Took me 2 years to find a white x50 so its a really unique car.

My information comes from Porsche...the guys that built the car.

If you still have your owner's manual, turn to page 204. The "high-power version"...X50...is listed as 444hp. This is an SAE rating (as identified in the margin). SAE is the American standard measurement.
