Default Looking at 2002 X50, need help on what its worth?

I am a new member to both this forum and hopefully the Porsche family.
I need help from the experts on this forum with a ballpark value on a 2002 X50 996 turbo. It has 12K miles, rims, headers, exhaust, short throw shifter, and possibly the computer flash. (not sure if mods add any real value other than perceived by me) Some of the factory extras are the sport seats, full leather and alcantera headliner. Its blazing fast and looks stunning. there are a few chips (small) and a rub mark on the fender (hardly noticeable) and the front airdamn has scratches from curbs.
The prices for these cars are all over but I can find some with low mileage in the low to mid $50K's.
I was going to stick at $55K as my max, what do you all think?

In addition can you recommend a Porsche Dealer or Mechanic in the Atlanta, GA area that can give me the most meticulous PPI? I need to be sure I know what I am getting into.

Thanks!!

Lots of discussion on what these are worth these days - plenty of cars to choose from. If this is the perfect car for you i.e. color combo, accessories, mileage, mods and miles then perhaps $50K. To put it perspective - I recently purchased an 05 TT-S Cab with 26k miles, well optioned, Arctic Metallic Silver with leather interior for $64K. Still had 4 months of factory warranty also. Remember low miles are only a plus if you intend to drive it very little over the next few years. My 2 cents.

I agree. If you feel this is the one you've been looking for, have it checked out, if all is well, make your offer. It took me over 6 months, looked at god knows how many cars, flew to Chicago and in about 15 minutes new I had found my car. BTW, here in Cali, there are alot of these cars around and 50k for a 2002 seems a bit hi. Plus, if the car had the engine mods you are talking about, the X50 is not that Significant anymore to add that much of a premium. The front Airdam scratches and rub on bumper will have to be fixed $. A friend just got a 2003 sport seats, low miles, $41000, Spent $5000 on Exhaust, Flash and SS and is already faster than a stock X50. I guess what I'm trying to say is for a 2002 Mid 40,000 seems right to me, and I own a 2002 X50 that I paid alot more than that for just a couple of years ago. Good luck and if you did purchase, please post Pics. Thanx.

Sorry if I'm rambling, but another thing to consider is extended warranty, which would be hard (next to impossible) to get for a 2002, I believe you can still get an extended warranty for a 2003, which in my opinion is a must. again good luck.
