Default Strosek headlight cover

Hi,
has anyone installed one of these headlight covers by Strosek? I like the look, what do you all think? the pair goes for $350 and will need to be painted to car color.
thanks,
Sam

Well it's 'Strosek'......but I'm not sure that's what you have in the pic.
Strosek did have a cover for the original 986/996 lens.

I have seen covers like you have pictured......look best (IMHO) on dark cars.
On light they appear thick & clunky.

It is spelled Strosek.
This is the NA Importer (last I knew):
http://www.fredopertracing.com/strosek.htm
Lots of pictures of these on various cars, colors, etc

Check with them on mounting (cement/glue IIRC) and removal in case you don't like them.

FWIW, I'm not a fan of their latest work..their earlier 993/964 work was OK.

BTW, there have been a few 99x's here on RL with these installed.

There are some people who have removed headlights, "opened" them and painted inside...then resealed. Looks better imo, but risk leaks later.

Gregg & ltc thanks for the name correction. Yes, i did get the pic from their website:
http://www.strosek.de/

yes ltc, they recommend adhesive install which is probably irreversible. So some people have painted them from inside? I wonder if anyone has a picture?? I do like the rounded headlight look...

thanks for the link DublinOh, it looks good but I think I am looking for more opacity similar to body color separating the two lights.

Great job with your 993!
I have always liked the round P head lights... what draws me to Strosek design is the improved fullness of the car and smoother lines, but it seems like many of our members don't care for the head light cover part.
