EPL kit before and after #s June 6th and then June 9th
June 6th heading over to Island Raceway, NJ will run the quarter in my car and log my times. I will also pull some 60-130 pulls on it either that day or the next.
Then on the 9th EPL gets my car. Im going to pull the trigger on a new clutch and flywheel with the following mods , speedtech DGI exhaust, K16/16g EPL kit and custom ECU dyno tune. I will have the cars before and after dyno #s on the EPL dyno.
This should show us what the car had and what the upgrades have done. Then back to the track on June 20th. I should have broken it in by then.
Im a noob when it comes to this car and im still learning how to squeeze the most out of it but i will be the one driving the car both times so the numbers should show the level of improvement with the mods.
If you guys can think of anything else I should do before and after please let me know and i will do it.
I spent a crap load of money modifying my other cars and the education was painful. Im hoping to ease the pain for anyone with a 996 tt by posting everything i do every step of the way

Doing before and afters is important as I am sure your "education" will tell you! The 60-130's as a comparative are also interesting.
Great that you are specifically testing the EPL kit which looks promising. I say "looks" because those that have pumped this direction have failed to come back to the board with 60-130 for the rest of us to contemplate.
Lot's of good info and assistance available here--refining needs information like you are intending to supply. Look forward to seeing it and good luck!

I like the idea that EPL runs the car thru a dyno after the tune....then they fine tune it according to the dyno readouts. Other tuners flash or do the software upgrade after you send in your ECU and what you get is what you get. The dyno tune really dials it in.

Let's try to get together this weekend again, maybe I can rip off some times also.
It's so dang hard to find a good place to do 60-130 in NYC/NJ. It really makes me jealous of these Texas folks. It seems like you can do a 60-130 on your way home from work every day.

im just heading out to do my bone stock 1/4 mile runs and 60-130 times the driftbox came in the mail this week.
I had to push of the EPL upgrade until this Monday 6/16 since my damn shifter fell apart last weekend and i wanted to get baseline times before he modded it. I should have the car back next Saturday and i will run the tests. Driftbox rocks! Pulled of some 0-60 times and best i can do is 4.7 seconds so i have a little work to do. I dont want to beat on my car so im not sure what the best times i can get without launching superhard.
Oh and speedo off by 2mph average up to 120 mph.

I got an email from Tony at EPL and the Turbos are on the car and its all put back together. I will have Dyno numbers on it tomorrow when he is done with the dyno tune. I am hoping to pick it up on Thursday and I should have all the runs posted here by Friday.
