Ian Stewart (GT3 finished 4th) was my instructor for my last DE at Sebring FL; a very talented driver. I had the Privilage of riding shotgun in the GT3 while they were tweaking the car for One Lap. OMG! what a rush Ian was over 160 and still flat to the floor going into T17.

The drag times look interesting too, I would have expected the Hennessey to have taken the others?

The drag race always seems to be screwed up. I think that the traction compound they put on the track surface must go away, or it doesn't work well with street tires, or streets don't lay down enough rubber to make it sticky. I know that the Viper was spinning tires in second gear while the 996tt was gettin' down the strip. The Viper's first run was 11.856 (I think) and his second was 12.2xx. Our first was 11.898 (slower than two yrs ago's 11.777), and my second run was 11.534 which was good for first place in that event.

Congratulations.

It's actually 5 times! The One Lap web site isn't updated yet because the web guy, who lives in Mass, pulled an all nighter to get back home like Drew and I did. I pulled in at 6:30am after leaving South Bend, IN at 4pm. I'm sure he'll need a few days to get caught up.

Thanks!!

My job was easy.

The crew from Fairfeild County Motorsports (Drew, Kevin, Jim, and Don) and the car's owner Mark once again prepared an amazing car! There is no way this could have happen with out the effort of these guys prior to my tuning session with the car!

I didn't understand where the Viper entered the track.
Was the traction control left on? I may have missed the indicator light when it's off. AS

The Viper left 10 seconds or so ahead of me, but spun off the track on the fourth corner, going over the grass and stopping on the closed section of the full course! He then started down the closed section to where the south course meets the the end of the esses from the full course. At that junction is where you see the Viper re-enter the track.

Yes, in the rain I'll run with the tration control most of the time. It's a big advantage if you need to turn and brake at the same time.

Mark
