Awesome! Thanks for going that extra mile to make sure none of us will get that deal on coilovers from here on out! Sign me up for all of your future group buys, especially if they'll result in other vendors being forced to increase their pricing! You've really provided quite a service to our small band of enthusiasts.

Danyol, your question is on point. Here's what North Carolina Statutes, Sec 75-1 says:
Every contract, combination in the form of trust or otherwise, or conspiracy in
restraint of trade or commerce in the State of North Carolina is hereby declared to be
illegal. Every person or corporation who shall make any such contract expressly or shall
knowingly be a party thereto by implication, or who shall engage in any such
combination or conspiracy shall be guilty of a Class H felony.
The Federal Sherman Antitrust Act says much the same thing and often the statute used where price fixing is alleged. If you think action is appropriate in light of Matthew's efforts to force Tire Rack to raise its prices, then forward Matthew's post here to North Carolina Attorney General Roy Cooper and tell him what you think, for his consideration and action. Here's the URL: http://www.ncdoj.com/default.jsp
And/or send the same email to Thomas Barnett, the Assistant Attorney General for Antitrust at:
Main address:
950 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW
Washington, DC 20530
