Is this 996TT clutch?
I come from 964 forum. My car has a special LWF setup with SPEC clutch. Original 964 clutch pressure plate won't fit the flywheel and I suspect it is a 996TT clutch. The pressure plate is a SPEC-modified SACHS with a number read GMFZ240 3032 152 199. Since the pedal effort is so heavy and my 250ps 964 really don't need such high clamping force, I'm thinking to change it back to stock Porsche or SACHS clutch, thus I want to make sure what to buy. Can anyone here help me to identify the type of the clutch and disk? What's the clamping force of this SPEC clutch and stock 996TT clutch? (just want to make sure stock 996TT clutch can give me a lighter pedal)
Thanks!
Thanks!

Patrick, none of your parts are stock.. You have hybrid clutch parts..
The flywheel is a aftermarket aluminum unit, your clutch disk is not original equiptment but a hybrid sprung disk, and your pressure plate looks modded. The diaphram has been modded.
Installing this could require much pedal effort. The standard/factory RS components are better for your needs.

Kevin,
Can I use stock 964RS clutch with this flywheel? Or stock 996TT/GT3 clutch? My memory was the stock 964 pressure plate will not fit the LWF, but since it's about 3 years ago, I can't remember clearly about the detail. I would like to keep the flywheel but have a new clutch with lighter pedal effort. Or do you have any other good suggestion on this (to get a lighter pedal)?
Thanks!

If you are tracking your car and using it for daily driving also..
Dump the aluminum flywheel. The factory RS flywheel although it's called a lightweight unit, it's not that light at 9lbs. This allows your rotating/crankshaft assy to have some mass for day to day in traffic situations. If you mount up the aluminum unit, the mass is alot less. Again order the 993TT pressure plate, or a 996TT pressure plate, a real RS flywheel and a RS clutch disk. Hopefully you also have the other parts that go with the kit..

I did what Kevin told me to do (got his kit) and I love the car in traffic. Good to ~ 600ftlbs and the LWFW he suggested (Porsche RS).
Sound, etc., was posted in a thread way back within a video link to youtube.

I have a 964 Flywheel that's slightly used I'd let go real cheap... All bolts/hardware and a TO bearing included... Contact me offline. It actually came from Kevin, via a member on 6speeds, but I didn't use it because the shop wouldn't warranty parts they didn't provide.
