Michelin PS2 Tire Questions

Hi all,
I have had my 2003 996tt for about 8 months now, I just got a flat on one of the stock rear tires and it looks like it cannot be repaired.
In terms of wear the fronts look like they have about 70% left and the rears have about 50% left. The wear does not look as even on the rears as the fronts.
Currently the rears are Michelin PS2 N2s and the fronts tires are Michelin PS2s (but I cannot find any N designation on the front tires). Does that mean the fronts tires have been changed at some stage and is their non-N2 ness a problem?
From what I understand I should replace both the rear tires - with new Michelin PS2s. Is it important that I stick to N2s or can I go with an N number?
I suppose the other option is to get one used PS2 N2 but that is probably a very bad idea.
Any feedback is welcome. Thanks for your help in advance.
Regards,
Ciaran

My rears wearout at 2x or 3x the rate of the fronts . I suspect that your rears were already replaced once, hence the difference in N rating as the N 0 rating was probably discontined by the time the rear N2's were ordered. I have mixed N versions of the same tire front axle vs rear axle on Prosches many times with no side effects. Just order a new pair for the rears. You might want to keep the 50% remaining tire on hand in case of a puncture down the line on the new rears.
Cheers,
