I am just happy to see someone else admit to doing this. I have been doing it for years, and always feel a bit funny when my neigbors or wife see me out in the rain, with a washmitt in hand, rubbing on my cars. I live in the country and have well water, and it will eat the paint right off my car. So for me, the only way I get to do a wash at home is in the rain. Organic rinse, at no cost, hard to beat.

My grandfather collects rain water for the sole purpose of cleaning his cars.

If it was your wife or girlfriend with this compulsion, I would be in awe. If I tried this, I would be in divorce court or a psychiatrist's office, at my wife's insistence.
Besides, from inside the car, I don't really care how shiny is the paint. But, I'm glad you "rainwashers" are having fun with your Porsches. AS

I wash the cars in the rain too.
If my neighbors think I'm nuts, then that's too bad because I'd rather be a nut with two Porsches than some metrosexual with an H2 and a Prius

I have never tried this....
to be honest it never happend to even think about it....

I recently bought an Excellnce porsche mag and found http://crspotless.com/ company...and I found it very interesting way to wash the car...BUT I did not buy it...

apart from all the above I do not find the fact of washing the car in the rain strange...

I will try it and let you know...

Default Similar Result - Spotless Rinse System

I use the spotless rinse system and it is so good I usually don't even wipe down my wife's Speed Yellow Boxster(07' Parade Concours winner). For my black turbo(06' Parade winner), I find it is drivable for days, where before I was ready to wash it as soon as I dried it off. The filter system removes everything from the water- no residue or water spots. BTW, I have no relationship with the company, just a happy user.
