Default Need help... 2001 996 tt in SoCal...

Hey guys,

I'm very close to buying a car sight unseen. There is a nice looking 2001 tt at AutoKennel (see ad in Classifieds on this site) or website: autokennel.com

Have spoken to seller and plan to put a deposit on car today. Just waiting on inspection report but would really feel better if there were somebody who could swing by and take a look/drive for me.

Any help would be appreciated!

Todd

That is a nice one. I was thinking about inquiring about it. The wheels alone are great. Looks like it has had suspension to.

Keep me up to date on what i missed

The VIN # that autokennel supply shows up as a 2001 BMW 740IL instead of a 2001 996TT. Could be a mistake but i highly doubt it as maybe they are trying to cover it up?? Looks like a clean car however.

Not from Paul at the AKennel. Paul is a friend and a well respected PCA member.

That car does look like a good one and the seller does have a good reputation.
The car looks to have been lowered and the price is good as well.
I feel for the owners selling these cars right now. They are indeed the best bargain in the P car market right now.

I went ahead and bought it. The VIN# thing was just a website mistake, he also has the BMW for sale. People have said really nice things about Paul. I spoke to him and to the mechanic who inspected the car for him before he picked it up. Didn't find anything glaring, seems to be in good shape. Obviously I'm buying a used car but for the price I am not expecting a perfect car and am just hoping it will be as nice as it looks.

He should have a check from me tomorrow and I'm hoping the car will be shipped to me by early next week.

I'll post pics and let everyone know what I end up with when it gets here.

Awesome

You'll love the car.

Post up your thoughts on the car after you drive it.
